Removing Males?

I'm about 2 1/2 wks into flowering. Out of 7 plants I ended up with 2 males. I snipped them at the bottom and removed them from the 5 females. They were pretty early in their development. Basically it was at that point where I reliazed what they were. Should I worry about if any pollen was released, or was it early enough where as that function of the male couldn't have taken place. I'm very curious about the facts in this matter. Can anyone help?

if the pollen spores hadnt opened up yet its fine u prob didnt get any pollen on the females the males will start pollinating about the same time the females start to grow buds they grow pistels then start growing buds so they prob didnt pollinate them at all ur good man.

if any of them opened you would see the yellow pollen relasesed..but im sure you caught them in time..it take about 7days for them to actually open up..and when they do omg do you know it..<---i know lol

No defiantly not open. This was a one day maybe its a male to the next that I'm sure. It was pretty early as in them identifying their sex.

Thanks all. I've been toking for quiet a few yrs now, but sadly this is my first grow. Rather bit of a perfectionist. It would have bugged me all the way through. Feel much better now. Thanks again.

You're safe, as said above, it takes about a week for the first balls to start busting.

I don't want to go against the grain but on my first grow which i am doing now, check this out:

day 1: change to 12/12
day 4: no sign of males yet and leave town for 2 1/2 days
day 7: easily pick out the males and pull them.
day 8: leave town for 2 days and surprisingly come back and find one more male. instantly pulled.
day 54: there is a small amount of seeds on some of the buds


should be OK, but from what I remember, the pods did not appear very open and I was certain I pulled them in time. just be careful and don't leave town during those critical days!
