ive seen people snip-off all the lower, smaller branches on theyr plants before flower to create more airflow or to concentrate more power to the tops , if anyone does this could you tell me when you do it?
One big thing to remember is if you're going to do any pruning make sure you make cuts an inch or so from the stalk and don't just rip it off.
It's easy to hurt the plant tearing even very small branches off. You also run the risk, if you tear it off flush with the stem, of the wound getting a disease or something...weakening your whole plant or, god forbid, causing it to snap at the base.
Not very likely, but worth mentioning. Remember your scissors!
so i wont lose yield if i get rid of these things? yeah right, these things are gonna produce some nugs. and not no little tiny popcorn nuggetsidk if you will lose that much! say you have 20 branches on your plant and you take off 10 ,, the remaining 10 should be 2x powered by a high root/shoot ratio?? this is only my judgement, and might not be right,
I did it in the first week of flower, and it was a good opportunity to take cuttings.ive seen people snip-off all the lower, smaller branches on theyr plants before flower to create more airflow or to concentrate more power to the tops , if anyone does this could you tell me when you do it?
