Removing Fan Leaves

I am in the middle of my first grow. I have three different strains growing. One strain has exceptionally large fan leaves which appear to be blocking a lot of light to the flowers. These are tall plants and are already hurting for light towards the low end of the plant. What are the potential hazards of removing the large fan leaves to let more light to the buds and bottom of the plant.

Also, I have one plant that my wife started in a hanging basket that she pulled out a houseplant. I swear that it appears that the pot plant crossed with the houseplant because it has what i would call sucker leaves all over it that have no serations (sp?) and range from one to three fingers on the leaves. Is this possible?

tuck the fan leaves under or yes you can sacrifice a few... it may stunt growth a little

I don't think you can clone fan leaves either. As far as the mixed strain is concerned, it certainly is weird.

Cut every other fan leave that is blocking light in half. Do this as often as needed and you will be fine, just never trim more than 1/3 of ANY plant on a given day or you risk stunting its growth.

I was saying take some clones and hide/cut some fan leaves... know what i mean ?
