removing fan leaves in flower

That the entire branch is one huge cola, uniformely, on every single branch of every single plant.
You should cut off all your leaves then like video if it makes you happy. If you're impressed with that method why use a screen? Huge cola's, not really.

Honestly it's quite simple, it's in cannabis best interest to grow large healthy flowers to potentially house seeds. The plant knows what it needs to do that, it's had a few million years to figure it out.

If it didn't need leaves, it wouldn't grow them.

Stoners are the only retards in the whole agricultural industry stripping their plants of leaves. Pruning branches on fruit trees is one thing, stripping leaves is another.

If you absolutely feel like you need to cut branches and remove leafs I definately wouldn't be doing it in flower ....yellow leafs that fall off when you touch them are one thing ...but healthy leafs that are storing goodies for your plant should stay ....not sure how true this is but I've heard of stressing plants into Hermies .....flower is not the time to experiment IMO ....good luck

I like the video because it looked slick. Lol.

Some times I like to trim a few leafs. But that was raping them.

There are growers here that I've seen do very well by multiple metrics, I.e. gm/watt, gm/m2, etc, with defoliation. I have limited experience with it on cannabis only because I'm a new grower. However the arguments against it don't hold water as it applies to plants I am more familiar with, roses specifically. And to how herbaceous plants in the wild respond to browsing. If defoliation was as detrimental as suggested due to loss of photosynthesis then I'd have green houses full of dead or stunted roses. But I don't. Given water, light, and nutrients I get more growth both in flower and leaf with heavy, frequent pruning then if I left them alone. Many herbaceous plants respond with vigor to removal of part of their growth.
The first three grows done with defoliation at 3 week intervals left me with very sugary buds, as well as fan leaves just covered in trichomes.

Don't know if and how much yield is actually increased. Potency though? Yes.

All those pruned leaves went into making very potent coconut oil cannabis extract.

Northern lights and Purple Kush have responded well to it. Blueberry grow is just starting flower. I'll let you know how it goes with that strain. I attached some pics to show trichomes on leaves very early in flower on defoliated plants.

Right or wrong old growers seem to rarely change their minds about big stuff. Same as any other field.

There's a lot of debate on this, but seeing that video is very interesting indeed.

There are too many variables in growing and unless someone does like 5 side by side grows to compare, we'll never know the best method.

Sure! plants have had thousands of years to adapt to the 'sun'. Indoor grows have very consistent light, coming from many sources which negate the natural worlds morning and afternoon shadows created by our singular sun.

I've personally removed fan leaves when certain areas on the canopy are just way too thick, its impossible to say if it affected my results good or bad.
I have noticed that the lower buds not exposed to the light have stigmas that take longer to turn brown

No we just need the science and/or results that are surperior to industry standards.

Potency increase over non defoliated plants? Thats just stupid.

You think the breeder of that strain you're growing doesnt know what hes doing? Or is an old grower stuck in his ways. Dj short deserves the credit for anything you get off that plant

Lol you're just stupid for being close minded.
Why would I not give DJ short credit for breeding a great plant either? Wow I shouldn't be but I'm amazed at your intransigence.

Why would you take credit for potency and resin gland devolopement by means of defoliation is the point i made noob
