The branches growing from the intersections: remove, grow with LST, or let it be?

Thanks again!

guess it depends on what you want to do. If you're doing sog style, bunch of short single stem plants, sure remove them. If you have some room I would most definitely leave them, LST if you need to, those branches will be a good portion of your yield.

That’s the beauty of growing! It’s up to you!

That said, is the plant a photoperiod or auto?

If auto, maybe just bend her over from the top and do LST. As new growths shoot up, you’ll want to keep pulling the plant down. That’ll lead to them bushing out, and multiple bud sites like a couple pics I attached.

if it’s a photo, you have more wiggle room because you can essentially “pause” the plant in veg until you’re ready to flower. So if you decide to top the plant and it stresses it out you have the luxury to let it recover before initiating flowering.

They are photoperiod plants, it started happening after I FIMed them. Guess it's time to go buy some coated wires for LST!

Was also wondering if they would slow down the growth of the main side branches that I want to turn into multiple colas?

The main problem with lst early is that you dont get to see what the plant wants to do naturally. I have had plants branch from the start without any lst.
Untill you see how it wants to grow, you have no idea what your training is going to accomplish.

If its your first grow, i'd just let them go on their own.

Gives you a nice idea of how the plants grow. Do your research now on LST and then practice on your next run with a plant or two.
