Remote watering

I have my mother plants in a place that is a pain to get to. Most days all I need to do is water.
I would like to set up a gravity feed where I can remotely control a valve.

I was looking at the irrigation controllers. Would an irrigation controller work with gravity feed? Is there a better solution?

Pump on a timer. If you're not there how can you determine whether or not to water? You'll end up doing it at set times anyways so a pump should work well.

A wick system would probably be easier and work as well too.

Yeah a 12v pump and timer. Nothing is really available in drip form like this but I bet it will be soon. A in ground sprinkler valve w controller could work with a on demand pump

I went out of state for a week a few weeks back. I was nearing the end of my run. I took cotton clothesline and a 5 gal bucket wet the whole line then propped the bucket up a few inches above the pot. Worked like a charm, the bucket still had about 3 gal of water in it after the week. Best part is I didnt spend any money. I was going to buy those carrot looking things but dude at the grow shop and another grower said stay away from em they're a waste of money.
