i should mention that I live in socal, and I am accustomed to very old, outdated panel setups. normally on the outside of houses. My overall goal is to be discreet. I thnk that using an existing circuit helps garuntee first time success. with less new variables.

to anybody who is concerned, I am just using a 40 amp circuit. no danger, no firehazard. just a simple circuit with electricity flowing.

*im not going to spam my own thread, sorry about that everybody. i dont desire to spread negativity

You don't even know if it is 30A, 40A, or 50A. You haven't even seen the main panel of the house you're going to putting this grow into...lol.

i have basic electrical experience and wired my flower and veg rooms, installed my mini split ac, built my subpanel, switch boxes and relay boxes. and would you believe that i did it and no fires? indicaidiot is just that. you will be fine with the original idea of a junction box and a subpanel. did you know he has a 1" dick?
Hey you had no fires, must mean everything is up to code right? Give me a break man, there are standards for a reason.

adding a 220 wouldn't be any more work than what you are planning on doing. It would be more organized as well. If you're gonna go through all the trouble of getting up in the attic and splicing wires, etc, etc...no reason not to just add another circuit. I agree with Indica...don't fuck around with 220v, keep it simple. That shit will kill you.
My hero!!

what difference is there? maybe he doesnt have the extra space to add a two pole circuit, but even if he does its still the same. he will be using the existing circuit and rerouting the wires. this way he needs less wire and only the added junction box and it works safely.
He hasn't even looked at the main panel, he doesn't know if he does or doesn't have the extra space.

If you want to be discrete, try not modifying existing electrical.

put up or shut up indicaidiot. lets see your wiring job. how about your grow room? anything to back up one thing you might have some actual experience with associated to growing(not jerking off).

IndicaDom you must have a really small cock! you seem like you have alot of built up frustration and need to be big in some way. Get a fast red car or something and stop thinking that you are the greatest botanist ever. Nobody is going to take your advise purely on your attitude.

you can get split breakers that are 2 breakers but take up only 1 space. so install 2 split breakers and you free up 2 spaces for a double pole breaker.

220v will not kill you neither will 45 amps ifyou are young and strong, 50 amps or over will kill you, a home in the uk only pulls in about 80 amps at 240v
i would rather this shock than a 110v x 300 amp shock.
