Relevance of runoff PH???

I have several seedlings planted indoors under a 4ft 8 light HO fluorescent lights the pots are 3 gallon and the medium is "Victory brand garden soil indoor/outdoor Sea Blend" I picked up from a local hydro store. I water with RO water (ph 7.0 initially and 10ppm) my nutrient line at the moment is GH's 3 part and I run their simple drain to waste program except I back off a tad bit 100ppm or so. When watering I add ph down to 6.0-6.3 and when I feed the ph drops from the nutes to right about the same range. I add Botanicare cal/mag according to the instructions on the bottle. I haven't seen any problems the growth is all decent my only concern is the relatively high ph from the runoff of my plants when watering at 6.0 the runoff is 7.5-7.8 I've seen several replies to threads concerning runoff and am curious to know if it's an indicator of soil ph whatsoever? If the calculations on those threads are correct then the ph of my soil should be about 8.6 to 9.6 too basic I haven't noticed any problems at all but since my runoff still isn't extremely far off the acceptable range I'm wondering if lowering the ph would promote enhanced growth??? Is it time to invest in a soil ph probe? The manufacturer claims a ph 6.6 for another one of their blends I can't find the ph for the "Sea Blend" what could explain the rise in ph in the runoff???

dont barrow worry if things look good bro. u kinda answered ur own question tho...get a soil ph probe if you need peace of mind. get a good one too. not the shitty one home depot sells. if ive learned anything doin this its these three things....1)things cant be clean enough 2)keep nutrient regimens simple and consistent 3) buy quality testing equipment, pumps, fans and timers

from what I know I do believe it is a decent indicator of the ph of the soil altho urs sounds more like it could be a uncalibrated ph meter if ur getting that big of a fluctuation as of now ur probly just on the lucky side of that

I've never heard of your dirt? Having high ph problems in dirt is highly usual  All dirt I've grown with had a low run off ph and it is suppose to. I don't try to regulate the run off ph cause it impossible! Are you sure you reading is accurate? And post a pic how does the plant look this is what really matters.

Good looks guys the dirt is from a company here in the Central Valley of NorCal it's been pretty decent alongside the GH nutrients as far as vegetative growth for the last monthish I think imma go with sacpirates advice and buy a quality soil probe then recalibrate the ph tester as mullisk suggested just to make sure, I don't have any pics atm but I'll post one for shits n gigs this evening

Runoff pH is a very, very poor indicator of the mediums pH. And following runoff pH cause more harm than good. When growing in soil reading your plants is the best indicator of pH there is.

I guessed it wasnt very accurate as well definitely going to buy a ph probe just to satiate my curiosity, also I am going to call the manufacturer about that particular blend as long as everything looks good I'm happy mayne
