relay for lights question

I want to run a relay for my lights. Will this work, im pretty confident I can wire it correctly, I just wanted to make sure.

Im running ~300w of cfls.

Yeah this relay should work well, but my question is, why do you need a relay on cfl's?

You do not need one for cfls Not enough amperage a relay only takes the load of a switch. I prefer the solid state relays with a good heat sink.

What are you trying to do? I presume you want a timer to keep your lights on a daily cycle?

I was unsure if my timer would fry if i didnt use a relay.

No, you are fine with a simple timer with cfls.
