Relatively SAFE way to order seeds???

I'm sure this has been asked before, but I can't find any sort of relatively clear answer or advice.

Is there a SAFE way to order seeds from Europe (I'm in the U.S.). I've had a few people tell me it's fine as long as it's a smaller order (say, 20 or less seeds) and from a reputable company, like Attitude. The theory being that the buttnuggets in our government have better things to spend thier time on.

I had to use bag seeds for my first indoor grow (which is coming along VERY nicely at the moment!!!), but I REALLY want to grow some ultra-premium Skunk bud or White Widow. The problem is, I don't want a visit from our friends in law enforcement.

So, is it relatively safe to just go ahead and order 10 or so seeds from Attitude (or another seller, if you recommend), or is there another, safer method of obtaining these seeds in the U.S.????????

Just order the seeds. I've bought 900-1000 dollars worth of seeds this year and nobodies shown up on my doorstep yet. It's safe. Even if it's intercepted all you get is an empty package and a letter from customs. You are worrying too much but then again if your this worried about ordering the seeds how are you gonna feel with a closet full of dope? Just may be the wrong hobby for ya.

^^.... I agree, It's very safe to order seeds to your home.

I recently went thru a similar begoggle. I feel the best alternatives are:

1) A non-greedy, trustworthy, third-party who isn't more nervous about receiving the package as you are.
2) A PO Box. (*not all companies will deliver to a PO Box, so check)
3) A store loaded credit card (*ensure international use is OK)

A combo of all three would serve the best to distance the package from your op. Since finding a willing third party is the only way to truely wade the stream to lose your scent to potential trackers, if you are not using some combo that includes 1, you might as well just order discreetly and /xfingers ;P

LOL. I've already got a closet full (12) of 20" to 24" plants, so too late for that!!!

I'm not really worried, but I am cautious --- as anyone who grows should be!! I'm new to the whole seed-ordering deal, so I just want to get some informal verification that it's ok.

got my t-shirt from attitude no problem, used my credit card had it sent to my home, showed on card as gift shop,,,,that was months ago no visitors, no problems

I read threads like this one that said just do it,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,so I did

The only precation you absolutely should take is to not have them sent to the grow op. Send them to a trusted friend or something just to be on the safe side. You will be fine. A few sites I trust completely for ordering are www.cannaseur.com www.sanniesshop.com www.breedbay.co.uk

At the risk of displaying my utter ignorance here, why should I not have them sent to my address/grow op?? The address is going to show on the CC records anyway due to the billing address. Just curious if there is another factor I'm not considering here!!!

Well, it puts the cops one step further away from finding your grow IF they show up BUT they won't. Basically your trying to give them a dead end. They (the cops) show up in Pasadena at your uncles house (and he denies any knowledge and is not growing) and not across the county at your grow operation with a warrant.
IF your worried about your cc bill just send cash with your order instead.

customs isn't gonna be able to look at your credit card statement and see your billing address, that takes a warrant an isn't easy to get...they will however see the address on the package if they open it and find seeds, then they have the address of a possible grow op...therefor do not ever send seeds to where you are growing even though the chance of customs finding the seeds is slim.

Yeah I've ordered over $500.00 worth of seeds and nobody showed up at my door either. Just order the seeds the most thats gonna happen is you're gonna get letter saying they took the seeds and I highly doubt tha gonna happen

I'm in the same frame of mind--a bit paranoid. I work at a sensitive job as well, and I've got a wife who's not the most relaxed about the whole growing thing in the first place.

Good question??? I had not considered any Canadian seed dealers (actually, I didn't even know there were any in Canada!). I don't imagine there would be any difference, but what do I know?!?!?

Just order the seeds, and send them to my address. Ill get them to you after they arrive. I promise.

Canada has a few good sites to order from. They sell seeds from all around. So you might find it easier to order there. I go with attitude cause of the freebies, and the seed breeders I chose is from there as well.

Hey MrGreenjeans, it's NOT a problem ordering online seeds anymore. Just make sure you're dealing with a reputable seed bank. I believe you mentioned "Attitude", & they are excellent, I know this from personaly ordering this year's grow from them. I ordered online, used my own Credit/Debit card, and sent to my door. I wish you Good luck & good grow.......BB

MJ at PEAKSEEDSBC.COM totally RIPPED ME OFF and he is so being a dick about it. He is out of Canada. I mailed my order in the beginning of Oct 2009. I emailed him 3 weeks later and he said he mailed my order which I never received. He said he would resend another order. Never received it. Emailed it again and he said 'it must have gotten lost in the mail.' I emailed him 3 weeks ago and again he told me it must have a got lost in the mail. This time I told him that it was impossible for 3 orders to get lost in the mail and I wasn't buying his story. Now he will not respond to me at all. I did write to Greenman since now pekseedsbc.com has a Greenman symbol on his home page. It doesn't appear that Greenman is that honest either since he wouldn't do anything about him ripping me off. Also I searched the web and found many, many other complaints from people saying they never got their orders either. He may have been honest long ago and DO NOT BUY FROM HIM AGAIN.
