Reflectivity

The one thing my grow room lacks is reflectivity, while the walls are white - i do not use the entire space to grow, i also store all my growing stuff in here, about half the closet, so im trying to increase refletivity, while i don't have any mylar yet. Also interested in the opinion of how important yuou think reflectivity is. Anywhoot.

For the time being i am creating a removable wall on the side of my plants.. i will take some pisc and attac them before i finish this post. The white on the side of the cardboard should do an ok job, no? Any reccomendations for my grow area will be taken into account if anyone has any, as i'm trying to make the most of this hobby. so having things to do is great! preferably things i can do with household items as i don't have any cash to put into my operation right now, i've spent plenty already! the very next thing i should be getting is mylar though it wont be for a while. anyway here are the pics, any help is great. i also have some GLOSS white paint i could paint that brown spot with, but that's all. i love ideas, so give them to me!

In my country mylar is 3 pounds per sq meter. About $5. So for $20 you could solve your little problem and have more to spare. The difference in yield should more than make up for the $20.

in my country i cannot find it in a store so i have to order it online, and pay shipping, i will be spending between 25-30$ to get what i need and i don't even have that right now to spare - as previously stated in my post. I will be getting it just not now as also stated in my post.

I like to use matte finish white large plastic party tablecloths. I use them to amplify reflective light......I get them at dollar or party stores.
I put them on walls or use them to create reflective shrouds or curtains around my little girls......they may not be as good as mylar....but far cheaper and easy to find.

I read somewhere on the internet that you can use the backside of aluminum foil (the dull side) as a reflector. I found that on the net so I don't know if its true or not.

hey bigbud, isn't there any grow shops in your neck of the woods?

Not with in bus ride....lol

I live in a seaside town and there aint any hydroponic shops around so most of the stuff I need to get has to be done online

Im tryin to find a list online that could show the closest hydro shop to me but I think it would still be to far to travel plus doing it online means i dont have to do any work to get it...... Just click and wait

The cardboard already has a white side, as seen in the pics, the brown spot on the wall was what i was talking about.

anyway, i will go with my ghetto cardboard box and when i get mylar i'll probobly but a sheet of drywal to close the space up more and beable to remove the wall.
