Reflective material

How reflective do you suppose this is? Better than white paint? It doesn't rinkle easy. Called venture tape.

thats pretty reflective, and im sure would bounce back the heat from the lights on the plant causing harm, no? thats why they say not to use aluminum foil on walls cause of the heat issue. white or mylar walls, ceiling and floor.

i may be wrong to, so dont quote me on that unless someone concours.

Oh I see, I guess it is like aluminum foil. Still, I have more than enough ventilation so I don't think I have to worry about the heat to much. Would it reflect better though?

that roll of tape wont go very far and milar is 90% more reflective than most other reflective surfaces..(ie foil, mirrors..)
worth spending the $20 on milar....use the reflective tape to hang it...

i use a large roll of 3m aluminum tape just for taping my duct work up. im sure your wall space will take up far more than my duct work taping needs. plus, certain tapes adhesive will reactivate with the heat and will come untaped and fall down.

oh it's got plenty of use... that tape is actually used primarily in hvac work.
if you have a vent system for your light...that tape would be perfect... (and expensive if you need it and go out to buy it...sometimes upwards of $16 a roll)
not bad tape at all...just wont serve you the best for enclosing your grow in reflective material....

I ended up making a bunch of mylar 'tree skirts' with the extra material on the roll...
stuff is awesome!

I gave up on Mylar, to hard to keep clean for a little bit better reflectivity. Flat white paint has a high reflectivityand clean up is a breeze, just lay a new coat of paint.
