Will do King. Yeah it's just from some good mids. Like I said I started out with an auto strain, Himalayan Blue Diesel. But I must have popped her in the soil too early or something. She never made it past germ. stage.
So I just plan on getting my skills a little higher with this. After harvest I am going to start with Afghan Kush Ryder. =D

I noticed today that some of the nodes are starting to offset each other, instead of growing even. Is that a sign of something?

it sure is maturity, meaning it is now old enough to flower naturally (once u switch the lights) this is part of the pre-flower stage called alternating nodes. U will see exponential vertical growth, for several weeks of flowering before it tops out which depends upon the strain, then u will notice more & more bud development.

Thanks!
RIU is an awesome community. I'm always getting tons of tips and respect from other members. Time to go spread the love, haha.

sry yes 12/12, the people that veg for the average 2 months before 12/12 of course already see alternating nodes before they get to that point. with people doing shorter & shorter harvest (or trying for them) & switching the lights sooner, u don't always have alternating nodes first. But this is a true sign that the plant is sexually mature enough to flower. Just because u switch the lights does not mean the plant will start flowering if it is not mature enough to do so. Sorry I was not clearer on that point initially.

Day 46 update(day 14 of flowering):
Her nodes have started alternating now which, from what I've been told, is a sure sign of maturity. She is standing at 18" and is showing no sign of stopping any time soon. I have a feeling I will soon be dealing with a spacial issue but I'm doing what I can to prevent that. I remember reading somewhere that having a big difference in day and night temps really affects how much it stretches, so I've been trying to keep the room a little warmer at night.

I may have an issue in the near future concerning my lady. I just noticed water leaking in my bathroom coming from one of the apartments above me . As a result, the maintenance workers will have to come in to tear out that section and patch it. My water heater and shutoff valves are in the same closet as the grow, but I don't think they will need to be shutting mine off for any reason. I'm just worried that one of them will wander in my closet for some reason and spot it. Yikes! Let's hope for the best.

just put the plants in a seperate room when the maintenence guys come to fix shit..even if they dont check that closet, better to be on the safe side..your ladies will be just fine away from their home for a few hours

Day 50 update (day 18 of flowering):
I got the leak in my bathroom taken care of with no issues towards my little lady.
She has really started to swell up since I gave her some Big Bloom nutes. Standing at 2 feet even now.
Enjoy. Only a short while left before the real bud porn starts coming in haha =D

yep, lol. u should see my one remaining plant, the main stem is all kinds of crooked having bent it early & now still (even though vertical growth has basically halted, thank god) my 2 biggest colas are still tied back.

as long as ur overall plant looks healthy I wouldnt worry. it could be the strain or it could be showing signs of N deficiency but most plants start to become deficient in flower which is perfectly normal.
