redstem.jpgHey guys, I have 20 seedlings of various strains that all have red stems. They are almost burgundy in color. I can't remember this ever happening before. They have not been fed anything except distilled water. They are growing in coir seed starting medium under 4 26 watt cfl's. Is this something to worry about? Here is a pic, sorry for the quality but my camera was stolen and I had to take this with the webcam.

Maybe its the temperatures? I had the same thing happen with my last seedling and she has turned out just fine. Give it a couple days and see how the growth is

A lot of seedlings have red or purple stems at first.

It's nothing worry about.

After the second set of true leaves appear, you might feed VERY lightly, in case the coco isn't adequate. In dirt, I don't feed until the third set.

Make sure they get plenty of light!
