Recommendations please...

Hello all,
I would like some recommendations on where to get feminized seeds. For my first grow ever I purchased 10 non-feminized WW seeds from Amsterdam seed Co. Only 6 of them germed and of those only one plant was female. I would prefer a reputable co. in Canada if possible. I dont think anything I did made all the males but I am new so I dont know. I use Black Gold soil with no nutes in it, a 400W MH/HPS lamp in a 3 by 3 grow area (white tiled bathroom), FF GB,BB and TB at 1/4 strength. HOH pH at 6.5. Temp 80F and humidity at 45-55%. Oscillating fan,24/0 lights for 4 week veg and 12/12 for flower. I guess I am tired of wasting my time and also am going to purchase a 6 place DWC setup for the next try. Thanks in advance for your input. Pic is of my one female White Widow at 5 weeks old.

BC SEEDS in british columbia. I sent them cash and got my order in 9 days.

if you dont live in the united states, get them from everyonedoesit.com, they have excellent seeds although do not ship to us.

look on the net for canada seed banks as i do not live in canada...

but most people like attitude seedbank...

also look as subcool seeds as he has some amazing strains

Subcool doesn't sell fem seeds.

www.worldwide-marijuana-seeds.com has a nice selection of fem and regular seeds. All available as single seed purchases so you can try several and see what you like.

Thanks to all who replied and I have found a reputable company. I have another question about my one remaining plant. It has been 10 days now since I posted that pic and my WW has grown about 10 inches and is about 4 inches from my 400W hps lamp. I installed a fan to cool the lamp (not to keep the room cool I dont need to do that ) but to keep the plant from burning which it isnt. Should I move the lamp again until it is about 18 inches from the top of the plant? I want the plant to spend its energy growing flowers not stalk and what little buds are on there are already covered with trichs. I feel that if I move the lamp it will continue to grow upwards and I would like to keep it at its present height. Any experienced growers have any suggestions? Thanks again.

should have cloned the original female

I was going to do that but am switching to hydroponics and am still waiting on the equipment...dont want to soil grow anymore so I will start with seeds and clone from there. Thanks for you reply.

She looks great! If your light isn't burning the plant, leave it where it is - for all lights, as close as you can get without burning is what you want.

Thanks DoeEyed thats what I thought but have never had a plant that close before.

No problem. I think it's strain dependant as well, some strains can just handle the heat better than others.
