Recommendations for outdoor

What’s up RIU fam

took a break from growing for a bit and am out of the loop on the strain game at the moment.

I’m looking for a good yielding strain to put outdoors next year. Also looking for good potency to match. Mold resistance would also be a plus as I live in a pretty humid environment.

was thinking Chem crosses, or wedding cake crosses.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated as I’m trying to get some seeds and pop them ASAP to find a mom for next season.

check out Dragons Flame Genetics. Outdoor mold resistance is basically what he always says he breeds for. I have not grown any of his strians outdoor yet though, but people on instagram give him lots of praise in rough cold climates

I suggest looking for the most mold/cold resistant strains you can find, most modern polyhybrid strains are disease/pest magnets. I've had good luck with some Ace strains outdoors-Erdput and Kali China. If you want a short flowering Sativa, Serious 6 has great mold resistance and it flowers fast enough to get a ripe crop in the Northern states. People had a rough outdoor season this year so I hope they choose their strains for next year wisely.

Woodstock farmacy- galaxial stardust, king of the north, platypus venom

Bradley Danks genetics- any strain, very underrated outdoor breeder. His jager punch is doing great this year.

Twenty20mendocino- snowcaine did very well for me last year. Growing made of honor this year and it's finishing up nice with very little mold despite the shitty weather here in mass.

Massive seeds genetics- haven't grown these but I've heard good things about them

Copa genetics on dc seed exchange- crazy bitch and project 25

Bodhi seeds- 88g13hp hybrids

Hazeman-loompas headband hybrids

Ak bean brains- freezeland, vintage blueberry, 4 way

Oregon green seeds- any of the outdoor strains

Getaway mountain seed co- any strain

Freeborn selections

Green source genetics- black koffee is finishing up nicely, super frosty with very little mold. They are pricy but their genetics are super well bred and have a ton of work put into them.

Thanks for the suggestions guys, will definitely look into these companies!

@Zett66 do you happen to know what’s in his ‘Dragons stash’ strain? All the crosses he has look great, but would like to know more about what I’m working with if I’m going to spend that much money on a pack of seeds.

@dubekoms Is Bradley Danks at any seed banks? I’d love to grow some jaeger, huge yields and great bag appeal If you treat her right!

On a side note-

has anyone tried green point seeds outside?

his packs are going for 38$ at the moment, and that’s for 6 fems, which is an awesome deal!

grew a couple of his stardawg crosses a couple years ago and they did great indoors, but not sure how well they’d do outdoors..

looks like all he has at the moment is animal cookie crosses and purple punch crosses..

Grew some purple punch out in humboldt a few years ago and the yields were great!

anymore suggestions are very appreciated!

He has pretty good descriptions for most of his lines. You can also always ask him for what would fit best to what you are looking for. check his website and shoot him an email, or post on his outdoor thread here on RIU. He is usually very responsive. This is what you can find on his dragon stash:

sour citrus kush, to blueberry funk, all possessing the highest levels of frost. The males used were both tall phenos, with stocky structures, and I used 3 tall stocky, and 3 wide bushy females. Average to high yield, with high levels of resin production. The effect is energetic euphoria in low amounts, but can be very overpowering in large amounts. Great for romantic time with your partner, or working out! All in all, this is a strain sure to please even the most picky of connoisseurs. 9-10 week flower time, 11 for headstash and face melting potency. Mid October in the pacific northwest
