Recommendations for a odor control setup in a 2x2?

Well, there are slim filters. Phresh makes one I think. I also started in 2x2x4 and I used a 4x12" (standard size) but it was pretty cramped. If I had to do it over I'd start in a 2x4x6 even if I was only going to light half of it.

2ft square tent?/space? Should only need a 4 inch extraction fan and filter.rvk fan and rhino filter are not too expensive

Does it have to in the tent? I agree a 4" will be plenty. Could you duct it out and put the filter on top or outside the tent? I grow veggies in a 2x2x4 and know the size...i would not want to take up space w the fan and filter if i didnt have to.
Pricier (100-120 + carbon) but the cloud 4" has a variable controller which rocks. There are cheaper that will do the job fine however.
Inside the tent is fine, just uses a lot of available space.

Could he put the carbon and fan outside and duct to the filter first or does that not work? Just trying to help i dont know.

If I recall correctly, I had the fan outside the tent exhausting through the charcoal filter. Not ideal.....but it works. So you’d have your fan before your filter though.

Phresh and Phat make the best carbon filters. I have some going on 8 years and still work great.
If a filter on the exhaust with negative pressure doesn't cut it you can add a second filter as a scrubber recirculating tent air. That really kills the odor at it's source leaving only a little for the exhaust filter to get.

Depends how much you want to spend and if you plan on getting a bigger tent down the road.
If you don’t plan on going bigger you can pretty much get the cheapest Chinese 4” fan on amazon and a vivosun filter and be fine. That’s what I ran in a 2x2x4 with a 315w cmh. It kept temps down, sucked the walls in, and scrubbed the smell just fine.

It needs to be inside really to achieve the best results or you need to buy an inline filter and these can be more expensive.it will be small and you should be able to fix it to the top of the tent bar so it doesn't take up floor room.thrres plenty of utube vids showing you how to fix them up.as for which to buy can filters are one of the oldest and best carbon filters,phresh are good too but as above poster says a cheap Chinese one will do for one or two grows if your strapped
