Your current sig makes me think of the word "sargasm".
Maybe thirty years ago I was in the Natural History Museum in Washington DC. There was a heavily-oxygenated coral reef tank there - many corals, some bright fish, odd bits of seaweed. These two young women, looking like the Cosmo demographic of choice, were talking.
"What's that seaweedy-looking stuff?"
"I think it's called ... sargasm."
From that day on the word has meant to me "she knows he knows she's faking it, but she delivers the perfunctory noises anyway".
