I had planned to switch to masterblend or jacks after I ran through a good bit of this megacrop. Was leaning more towards the masterblend but ive seen great results from both.
IMO, keep it simple and known and go with jacks option. Especially while youre still learning this.
Thats why I started with the MC 1 part. It wasnt the best on its own but got decent enough results and I didnt have to worry about nutrients while also learning everything else. Playing with a bunch of different nutrients, especially fairly unknown ones you cant get any solid input on, while trying to figure everything else out = huge headaches. Use something thats proven and people can help you out with, then start experimenting with new stuff once youve had a couple grows with no other issues.

Ya I'm leaving towards trying it too, but GH has been so easy.

I thought some foam is good. I read somewhere that roots love it but god knows if it was someone who doesn't know what he is talking about.

@Distortionist so much damn info out thier man so many diff methods so people tell u everything some tell u bits and pieces and some tell u shit just to fuck your shit up so at end of day gotta speak with someone u trust that’s tried and tru and that like seing others push out quality meds which is hard but nothing good comes easy also getting meetings with reps that grow from these company’s and feeding schedules etc but I’m in for long haul I will be that old hippy and proud of it lol

It's all learning from different peoples experiences. Try to absorb it all and see both opinions. Even when they conflict sometimes there's a reason and variables why you get multiple answers. I've been battling problems and with the help of all the random people I'm figuring it all out. Everyone blamed it on something else but they were all kinda right. Organics is harder in DWC and not for beginners. Even experts avoid its trouble. Cool roots are important. Too much light hurts. Too much food. They were ALL contributing factors to my issues. We will have a rough ride till we learn all this. Honestly people are trying to help from passing on their own experience. I don't think people will give you bad advice on purpose, and if someone does the many good and experienced folk will jump in and warn you. Always look into the advice you get to understand it instead of blindly do it.

This is pretty much all of us. I thought I knew everything I needed to know going into my first grow and was so confident.
That flipped pretty quick and I realized i knew next to nothing.
