Recent US Legalization of Cannabis Extract: What to buy?

I never open emails from unknown / untrusted senders—especially those flagged "from a trusted sender." Yeah—like I don't know which senders I've designated as trusted (rolling of eyes heavenward). But, I saw one email in a preview pane whose subject line caught my attention: Allegedly, cannabis extract is now legal to purchase and ship in all fifty US states. I went online and tried to google more info, but, there was little help…plenty of people selling products, but being really coy about what you'd actually GET once you committed to the purchase.

I used to live in New York City—Brooklyn, actually—and I was a well-established customer of the then-infamous Dial-A-Dope operation located at First & First (this was in the early eighties of the twentieth century). Chester the Molester offered to sell me a sandwich baggie of hash oil for a ridiculously low price. I looked at him like he was out of his damned mind. "What kind of IDIOT put this in a sandwich baggie?" I asked (this was before ZipLocs). "No. Not interested."

That was then; this is now.

Between then and now I've experienced a lot of things…and, unfortunately, it involved a LOT of broken bones, about a hundred surgeries (not hyperbole), and dying "on the table" a few times. The movies are REALLY inaccurate about these situations: There's some guy in the hospital that has received trauma WAY more minor than what I experienced, AND THEY GIVE HIM MORPHINE. Dude: They don't give you morphine unless they think you're not going to make it.

Anyway, after I get out of hospital, they gave me a scrip for Oxy. I eat it up—as prescribed, not recreationally—and when it ran out, not having ANY interest in personal experience with opiate withdrawal symptoms, I spent the next month in nearly mortal agony from sunup to sundown, "aided" only by Tylenol and Advil.

I'm in pretty good shape, now, but every now and then my back gives me Hell (the LEAST serious injury in my recent pedestrian-motor vehicle accident was a spine broken in several places), and I could sure appreciate the right non-opioid medication, if you know what I mean.

But…now that cannabis extract is legal, I don't want to buy GARBAGE, get ripped off, you know? It would really piss me off if I paid forty dollars for PERFUME or a "health tonic" and not realize the traditional benefits of sativa / indica.

I took a paint stripping wheel exploding off a die grinder to the eye. I was coherent and calm when I got to the ER. First thing they did was offer me morphine, I never had it so I said sure. Fun ride.

Just what it SOUNDS like. There are now online outlets within the US that sell, [allegedly] legally, "cannabis extracts."

Damn. Been KILLED and came back to life in a motorcycle accident, was run over by a cell phone driver, NEVER got morphine. Maybe I oughtta get cancer, eh?

I got grinder damage to the eye once; all they gave me was Lidocaine (creeped me out).

Don't know—suspect I do, but don't know—why the fed is so down on cannabis. Firstly, its recreational use presents absurdly few problems in comparison to other legal recreational drugs such as tobacco and alcohol (Don't even get me started on the nightmare history of the Eighteenth Amendment, which our lawmakers consistently demonstrate an uncanny inability to have learned from!). Secondly—and of greatest significance, especially compared to alcohol—its legitimate health benefits are amazing (monotheistic "believers" take heed; according to their doctrines, God does nothing without good purpose): Cannabis [Sativa and Indica] is an excellent analgesic for treating generalized mild discomfort and low-level pain, stimulates the appetite, offers significant relief to those suffering from glaucoma, and can be quite efficacious in the relief of motion sickness.

"They" used to run this "public service" anti-cannabis commercial (it's just inflammatory rhetorical propaganda, actually), where there's this guy sitting on a couch in his basement, and his mom comes down the stairs and says something along the lines of, "In fifteen years you'll still be sitting there smoking pot!" Here's my humorous edit of that:

The guy sits there for some few minutes, thoughtfully digesting his mother's words. Then he affects a confused expression and says, "You say that like it's a bad thing."

...And this business of it being a "gateway drug:" Really. Are you crapping me? The number one gateway drug in terms of availability, social appeal, and early-age prevalence is tobacco. The second is alcohol. Don't believe me? Try going to an AA or NA meeting (I'm not even going to mention coffee!); you'll see. On the scale of ubiquity, cannabis is the number four so-called "gateway drug."

I remember when it was "a proven fact" that cannabis "abuse" caused men to develop sizable breasts. Never heard of women benefiting form this "horrible side effect."

cannabis extracts containing thc are not legally sold on a national level ! goshdamm spam
Really. Pray tell: Cite your source for this information- which, without said citation, is rhetorical opinion, not fact. Contrary to your unsupported assertion, compounds containing THC ARE sold-legally- in all fifty US states.

Which begs the question: What's the dealio with cannabis and the fed?

Yeah- shooting the messenger ALWAYS fixes the problem.

every state doesn not have medical marijuana program
only some have a recreational program.
in a medical state, possession of thc by a non card holder is illegal....um, duh??

try this https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cannabis_in_the_United_States
or this https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Legality_of_cannabis_by_U.S._jurisdiction

and this https://www.google.com/search?q=Is+marijuana+legal+in+arkansas?&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8#q=where+is+marijuana+illegal+in+the+us&*

everyone knows cannabis is not even legal, not on a state or federal level in every state. everyone knows this shit.
try real news, real newsprint, maybe call a cop, yeah, that'd do it

100% succint and factually correct. Additionally many states have hella harsh penalties for ANYTHING containing THC.

OP is gonna land some folks in serious trouble if they believe his stories.

OP, you can utilize every angle, or fancy wording you'd like. The only two real takeaways are:
1. You are attempting to spread disinformation because you neglected to perform even the most cursory research into the legalities of this topic.
2. You are far from Wordsworth.

Please be safe folks, and do your OWN research to protect yourself.
