Really small ScrOG cabinet

Greetings fellow clandestine agriculturalists! I have a project in need of input.

So, I stumbled upon an article about Scrog growing and glanced at my wifes wire cabinet. Now the wheels are in motion.

For a base I'll use said wirebasket from IKEA (Antonius), which is 70x50x40 cm and cover it in wood. I'm going to turn a basket upside down, stick a 125 or 250 watt cfl bulb in there with a reflector and go for it.

Some questions though.

First off. From the floor of the thing to the screen it will be 35 cm or 14" if you will. Will this be enough space? I'm thinking of using a 15 litre auto pot which I will cut down to about 20 cmin height, giving me 15 cm to the screen. This will only give me about 25 cm to flower on. Too tight?

Secondly, for ventilation I'm planning 2 80mm computer fans at a rated 40cfm each hooked up to 3cm thick carbon filters and use a passive inlet. Will this be enough and will I need something more for circulation?

Thirdly, should I go for one plant or two considering the limited space i have for pots?

This started with the thought "it would be nice to have a weed plant for decoration"

You are really pushing your luck with such a small area for growth though. I think a lot of people will tell you to go big or go home but tbh, if you want to try it out and see what you think of the entire mind blowing process... Than 15" is all the room you need!

a couple small fans one close to your light source up at be top to release the heat as it naturally rises and another at the bbottom to circulate the cool air generally sitting down low. You would be plenty cool with just that size computer fan. Grab a thermometer and keep it sitting inside the lil' box just to keep an eye on if its getting too warm.

Stick with 1 plant and learn to LST her. You'll have a blast.

Sticking to CFL will help with heat also. 1 bulb 250W would be plenty.

Oh, maylar the inside or the box also if you plan to have a cover over the wire basket! Help reflect every bit of light you can!

It's a do-able grow space wise. heat anytime you grow in a small space is going to be critical. smaller bulbs but more of them is better imo than one big bulb. Good luck w/your grows!

The reason I'm using one bulb is that the place is just purrrfect for a reflector, I get like 5mm to spare on each side and I can still lower it all the way down.

What worries me is if the canopy will be so dense that a) the computer fans can't move the air around and b) light can't be distributed to the sides. Would i have better results with a SoG?

I'm, obviously, not looking for the highest yield but rather quality.

For quality and simplicity, I would think so Thor. You would be amazed how well those little pc fans really work!

Awesome! I'll get back to you when this leaves the conceptual stage. It's gonna be super fun to grow something again, I haven't grown weed in years.

Last time we made the biggest mistake you can, smoking the poor plant as it was growing.
