Really long root

I have started a second set from seed and have in rockwool under a dome in a tray that lifts the rockwool up out of the water. The seedlings are a week old and looking good with the second set of leaves a little bigger than the starter leaves. One of the seedlings has a long skinny root out of the bottom of the rockwool and about 4 inches into the water. Is this a problem? should I worry about root rot at this point? Is it to early to transplant to DWC?

Many thanks!

i use dwc for my grows and when there is half an inch of roots out of the bottom I transplant, careful not to put the rockwool to deep in the net pot you want it to be moist not soaked as im sure your aware of. top water feed until the roots hit the res. as far as root rot, its always good to take precautionary measures. a tad of h202 works if your really concerned about it but I don't do that. they sell products that help prevent it if your worried about it.

When I ran DWC I'd try to get them in as early as possible...just like getting soil grown into final pots asap....
