Ready?

So i looked at the tricomes on the top halves of the buds and the majority are cloudy with a few clear and a handfull of reds mixed in..
im using cfl and led lights and would like to know if these tops look done?
its day 48 i believe.. And i want to harvest in steps.

last harvest i waited way too long and all the thc degraded so the buds no good.
i don't want to do that this time...

1st off lovely lady you have there.
Going by pics I would wait a lil longer. Going by the triche color you described, iI'd say chop.
That wasn't much help was it? lol
But seriously, I think you would be ok cutting the tops. The triches will continue to mature after you chop.

I am not one of the folks that can tell you when to harvest by looking at some pictures, I can tell you that those are some seriously good looking plants. I would say that you seem to be very patient, most people tell the "I harvested too early" story and not the "I waited too long".


I don't think that the Mods will do anything about a picture unless it has a nipple or a weiner!

Loving the purple on those leaves. That being said, she's got a few more weeks, the pistils are still pretty far out there, and I see a lot of white trichomes.

thanks all for the compliments and replies.
This is my second grow and i have learnt sooooooooooooooo much from this website, you guys.
i will wait a little longer, i have day 53 marked on my calendar and im thinking i might wait till then.
its mostly the sugar leaves that have amber trics on them, the calyxes are cloudy/clear with 1-2 amber here and there.
i didn't really have time to check the whole plant but im thinking the bottoms/insides need more time.
they are lime green and the hairs are still all white.
i wish i had a better light!
im mainlining my next plant right now, so hopefully that will help with filling out the colas more.

again, thanks for the complements shes much better than my first girl, shes a clone but muuuuch better.

So i managed to get some tricome pictures for you guys to look at!
So judging by the pictures, how much longer do you think?

I have a hard time distinguishing between the cloudy/clear tricomes.
These pics were taken with my loupe and ipad haha.. If i had a tripod to steady my hands it would have been way easier.

The 5th pic down shows lots of amber but the rest don't look ready to me. A lot of green hairs standing up still!

i have 2 plants that don't look nearly as nice as yours that i am chopping today. personally i like the buzz i get from plants with few amber trichs. it is more of a hyper buzz though it gets more 'norml' (meaning stoney) as the buds cure. that has been my experience anyway. freaking awesome plants btw.

Yes this is only one plant, i have room for one veg plant and one flowering plant, if you go into my journals then you can see what im growing them in.

this growing stuff is by far my most favourite thing ever, i could see myself owning one of the dispensary suppliers warehouse things, not for a few years yet but that is my goal
