it could go longer than 4 weeks. every strain is different Indica's are usually faster than Sativas. Ive had plant finish in 8 weeks but ive also had some go 12 weeks some strain like ogs are fine at 9 weeks but they get super frosty at ten weeks.

OP, let me give you some advice for your next grow.

Don't start counting flowering days until 2 weeks after the flip to 12/12, and even then your plant might take a week or two longer than the breeder says it will take.

Also, don't defoliate your fan leaves. From that last photo it looks like you have removed most of your fan leaves. Your fan leaves are where your plant stores its energy. You aren't helping her out by taking away her energy.

Aside from that you have done a fairly good job for a first time grow. Find the thread "Uncle Bens topping technique for getting 4 colas", it not only is an "oldie but goodie" thread but just reading through that thread ( it's huge, might take a few days ) will give you alot of useful information for your next grow.

Carry on soldier !

Not sure about you advice mate adding 4 weeks on to the flower time is a bad ideal

So for exsample you would give a 50 day indica strain, 78 days

OP what ever you do don't follow that advice

plant often take a week or two more but thats about it

Removing fan leaves from the bottom of a plant is alway a good move, reduces chance of bud rot and increases air flow, also known as lolpoping

LOL, a plant is finished when it's finished, not before, not after. Going into a grow using a breeders 70 days of flower and expecting to chop that plant at 70 days is foolhardy. Don't take my advice then, go ahead and follow jacks great advice, then make another thread later eschewing your disappointment. Oh, and strip all your fans leaves off at the flip like jack does, that will really be a smart move.

If your going to make a comment about me get it right

If a breeders said 70 days my advice would be to add 7-14 days on most strains, your saying add 21-28 days.
there a lot of easy to grow indica strains out there for newbies that flower in 50 days so adding 28 days more is not good, just saying its not good advice

telling a newbie to remove a lot of fan leaves is a bad ideal but lolpoping a plant really helps

lol you can't knock the way I grow with the results I get

That is one leafy SOB.
Look, go to radioshack. Buy a handheld microscope, they are around 9.99-14.99 depending on your location.
Cut off one of the little bitty leaves sticking out of the bud covered with sugar. Put that under the scope. Focus in, if you see little mushroom like crystals that have turned golden brown in the caps, it is ready. If you do not see any golden brown, only cloudy or clear, give it a few days and check again. When you see golden/brown crystal caps you can start preparing to cut it.
