Ready to harvest?

It has been flowering for 2 months today. RQS Critical so 7-9 weeks normal. I like to harvest later, when the trichomes 2/3 turn amber but it is the 9. week and all trichomes clear or cloudy but not amber. Why?
Plants don't grow by the calendar, they finish when they finish. Its got another 3ish weeks. You should ignore any breeder recommended time frames because they aren't growing in your garden.

I’ll also add that I bet you are counting your time frame from when you flipped the lights to 12/12.

I don’t count grow time anymore, but if you count from when the plants actually started to flower instead of when you flip the lights you would likely get much closer to the “breeder time”. The breeder time still doesn’t matter though, as it’s just a loose guideline.

Many growers don’t understand that it takes time for plants to transition from veg to flower. This is a basic botanical process, sometimes it’s called the budding stage, the transition, the preflower stage, or in cannabis people refer to the stretch period. Flowering begins AFTER that transition is complete. Then when flowering ends, the plant still needs to mature and ripen. Your plant is at the end of flowering but still needs to spend a few weeks ripening.

There is lots of debate with indoor cannabis growers about when to count from though. Some don’t care about the botany and just use the flip as an easy date or just don’t know any better. Others understand the plant growth cycles and count from the beginning of the flowering stage. Others don’t bother counting at all because like I said in my last post.... they aren’t finished until they are done.
