Hey guys,
I currently have a thread titled "First Real Grow - White Berry". If you need to refer to pictures I've posted quite a few. Some at 4 1/2 weeks at some at 5 1/2 weeks of flowering. Currently, today is the 6th week (day 42).
Please keep in mind that this is my first grow, not using bag seed, lol. So I do not know much about the harvesting aspect...
I purchased these feminized White Berry seeds (White Widow x Blueberry) and before purchasing them it stated that they are perfect for SOG as the flowering time is about 50 days. I have a few questions if ANYONE can help me out.
I recently purchased a microscope and am looking at the trichomes at 150x magnification. I have looked at the trichomes on the leaves and on the buds and it appears that some are clear, some are cloudy, and some are amber. Here's the ratio, IMO: Clear - 15% / Cloudy - 40% / Amber - 45%
Question 1: Do you think that they are ready to harvest? Like I stated earlier, it has been 42 days and it says they take around 50 days. Does this seem reasonable?
Question 2: Approximately 40-50% of the white hairs have turned red/brown. Is it normal for the White strains (white widow in this case) to have about half of their hairs NOT change to red/brown in color?
Question 3: I took some clones off of the original White Berry plant and placed the clones, along with the Mum into flowering at the same time. Should I expect the clones to be harvested at the same time as the Mum? Currently, about 20-25% of the white hairs on the clones have turned red/brown but the trichomes are about the same ratio as the Mum.
