Ready to flower?

dont you guys think its to late for my to be able to lst? if its not how would i approach doing that?

In your original post they looked pretty small...how tall are they? I thought you said you topped them?

theyre both almost 2 ft tall ide say a foot and 3/4. I did top them like a weekish ago and i can see new heads growing in they just havent grown in fast especially since the plant had been rootbound for so long. As of yesterday we finally have 5 gallon pots so they will have plenty of room to grow, more powerful lights and are now using nutes so hopefully we will see a lot of improvements in the next week and then I was thinking of flowering or something.

Yeah...WAY beyond doing any LST! HA! Those plants are REALLY going to stretch when you flip...

Ya I agree, a little too late for lst. You could still do it, just test them by SLOWLY bending them to a side, if you can get them horizontal at about half the stem, tie them in that position. As far as they will go without snapping. If you go that route, I would wait a week or two and see how they react, always in a good way! IME... You may like what they do and keep it going, its an AwESOME technique! My pics on the last page are a good example of what let does eaarly on as well as MD914's.. I would get like 4 or 6 more, at least, of the 23w CFL or bigger if you can. Cannabis takes in a lot more lumens during flowering... But ya, maybe too late for lst, maybe not! Molasses, I use a teaspoon or so per gallon

you can use mg if you want to but you're going to have to flush for two weeksol and your smoke will be very harsh unless you like that sort of thing.

I was pretty damn surprised when I saw how good the plants looked. So you can use miracle grow nutes and tap water and get some nice bud.

re pot first...crazy low lumens what are you using flo's?

im using cfls, 8k lumens for two plants. HOw much would a light fixture for a 400watt hps be?

You could stay CFL and just get a huge CFL online. They make em special for growing, spectrum etc... I'm pretty sure they go pretty high in wattage too. But then toil only need 1 and you won't have heat issues of a HPS

yeah ill try that. Just looked at my plants and theyre small but based on pictures ive been looking at i think im finding preflowers on my plants. they look like the stipules but theyre coming in between the branch and the 4 main stipules around each node which is where the preflowers look like they come in and I heard they show around 5-6 weeks in veg.

Ya its around this time they start to show sex. Are they balls or are they spears with hairs coming out? Got any pics?

i cant get any pics cus my camera isnt good enough to see but theyre still really small, the white hair hasnt come out yet the pistil is still really small (if it is a pistil) so i cant tell yet im just pretty sure its either balls or a pistil and am waiting to see the sex of the plant. how long do the pistils take to completely come in after first signs?

Give it anothe week and you'll see a definite sex sign. Just be patient

I just flipped my two + month old plant into flower lastnight and she has pistils all over now. but she is over two months old and was showing female signs weeks ago. She was also a clone of a female so i knew she was a girl.
some plants show sex earlier than others. Pistils can pop up over night. Hope that answers your question a bit!
