I’m all for letting them make that decision, 100%. But I am also for tackling the reasons why they have to make that decision. Killing a million babies or 600,000 babies is proof of something going horrible wrong and we shouldn’t be ok with those numbers. The stats show that women who get abortions get multiple abortions. These are not women who are rapped 3 times for the most part. These are women and men not taking the precautions needed. We keep on treating it like they are not killing a life and what kind of message is that sending to the men? Don’t worry it’s like popping a zit?

Nobody is killing babies.

That is a position though, which you can take. I take the position that it is a life after conception and I still believe in the right to an abortion.

Ok, I understand the need to have to say that last part to be able to say you said this upfront before your inevitable arbitrary roasting.

The aborting based on sex is shitty no question and super short sighted, and completely insane. But as for disagreeing with you thinking a sack of mucus that is forming cells/tissues that will then start to assemble into the shape of a human (which then starts to assemble further organs and bones and whatnot which after about 24 month-isn with modern medicine may have about a coin flip chance of survival) is a baby I can't stop you from believing what it is you believe.

I don’t throw any shade at them because I believe in the woman’s right to choose as well. Look as far as the political aspect of it the only laws on the books should be to protect that right. Culturally I feel like we have an obligation to try and reduce the numbers of unwanted pregnancies and not to push this idea that it doesn’t matter cause it’s not life. I’m sure you were super happy when you and your wife saw your first ultra sound. You certainly didn’t say, “I’m going to wait till it comes out to be happy.”

I was thinking that would make a great documentary, take all the people bitching about immigrants to these places and see if they will take a job.

They calculated what all the benefits a single mother receives would be if it was an hourly wage and it was $18 an hour. On one hand we are willing to support people at $18 an hour but bitch when they are not willing to work and lose their benefits (not all of course) and listen to businesses that cry about $15 an hour. Everything is too expensive in this country.
