Hi all!

First, here is 2 photos of my not-so-sexy ladies.

The details:
800 watt cab
10 square feet
Grape Krush
DWC
5th week in veg
70% of suggested nute dosage
66% of Cal-mag suggested dose

Is this a magnesium deficiency again? The spots don't look like the same rust colour they've had in the past. I had that problem in my first grow as I didn't know RO water needed cal-mag added to it. I bought some cal-mag and they immediately turned around.

Two factors that could be influencing their condition;
1. I'm only changing the res every two weeks, as opposed to one week as in the past. I've been topping with water but no nutes. Is 2 weeks a mistake? Is not topping up with nutes a mistake?

2. The ph has been rising pretty quickly. I adjust it once a day but it is consistently 6.2-6.4 before I get a chance to add more 85% phosphoric acid.

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! RIU, you saved my first crop when I had some bumps in the road and I am grateful. Please help with my second. I promise to give back to this sub-forum once I have the confidence to give advice.

IMO it's a magnese definicy caused by your high ph... You answered your own question :) ^^ keep it at 5.8 mate.... Instead of ph ing at 5.8 and letting it rise to 6.2, ph at 5.6 and reset when it hits 5.9.

Whats your ec?

I'm at a loss about what to do with the ph. It rises 0.5-1.0 over the course of my work day. That $500 ph controller is looking better and better.

I am also doing a scrog in a producer and I'm using advanced nutrients ph perfect. And like the bottle says the ph is perfect! It's worth the extra bucks for sure.
