re-hydrating solutions

I'm new here and hopefully, this is the correct section to post my question in.

I've tried to find information about re-hydrating dry weed and a lot of people seem to be split between using an orange peel, a cotton ball inside tin foil with holes in it, wet paper towel or just leaving it as dry. Does re-hydrating it leave a chance for mold or bacteria growth (even if only done for a few hours)? Any advice?

I'll post some pictures tomorrow of it so you guys can judge for yourselves.

Thanks.

Use a fan leaf. Put it in for 24 hours and check thr bud. Air out the jar and go from there.

Unfortunately once your buds have dried to much no degree of rehydration will help it, naturally it will moisten it but that's all it does, it will not make it as good as properly dried and cured, sorry but that's my opinion, each idea given will work to rehydrate it, doesn't matter what you use.

Unfortunately, I don't have a fan leaf. Can I put the orange / lemon peel in directly with the buds? Also..how much of the peels should I use for a quart mason jar? Thanks.
