? re Ebb & Grown system and Top Watering

Top watering once in a while is very important I think, I feel it will really help the roots to do it on a weekly basis for certain. Flush away all the excess minerals etc.

Now what happens with the water when you do this with the Ebb & Grow? Will it trigger the drain cycle to start and feed back to your reservoir (which is why you would do this before filling the barrel) or will the buckets end up flooding next time the system goes to cycle itself? (due to the water already in the buckets)

If you do top water with the Ebb & Grow on a weekly basis how much water? With a hempy bucket its easy as you go till it starts to come out of the hole, how can you tell with the Ebb?

Thanks!

any water that makes the float valve rise inside the controller will trigger the pump back to the res, but pouring water thru the buckets for a flush is not worth it, it takes a good 8-10 flood cycles to get a good flush in this system

on an Ebb n gro bucket system if thats what your talking about alot of people set up a temp drip line to the buckets at early stage so the young plant gets plenty of moisturee until the roots get further down in the buckets. if the water gets to a certain point and fills the control bucket it will trigger the drain switch to empty if it needs to
