RDWC 20l square black buckets UK

I already posted this in the general but think this area is more appropriate.

Hi everyone,

A quick question to all.. is there a demand for square 20L Black buckets in the UK.. I have trawled the net everywhere and can’t seem to find anyone selling them here, I’ve searched eBay, amazon and the net.. nothing!!!

I have my own custom built recirculating DWC system but the pipes constantly get clogged with roots, I want to upgrade to 3inch pipe but I know it will leak using round buckets..

So I am toying with the idea of importing a large amount of square buckets from China, keeping the amount I need and then selling off the remainder.

Is this something you guys are interested in or not?

sounds like a good idea to me.

I found these and ended up buying them bit bigger but I think it might be better anyway

Best ones I’ve found so far they also do a smaller version if you need it.

So won’t be buying the China ones anymore

You can buy black rectangular flip top bins pretty cheaply. I use one (45L) as a control bucket for a 12 bucket outdoor flood and drain system. 2 years outside with no protection and still going strong.

I have used these but bigger, they come in all sizes. Incredibly strong but more importantly thick so your uniseals definitely do not leak, I used 2 inch.

op, it depends on whether you are trying to build yourself a DWC or Start a Black Bucket Business?

Those look similar to janitorial buckets, maybe ask around some cleaning companies or hydroponics stores if they can get you some.

You can also purchase pre-drilled buckets from Current Culture that look very similar to that.

It depends if you want to spend a little extra and get exactly what you need? Or if you want to spend more time and effort and save some money? (buy in bulk and resell)
