Work hasn't sounded so fun for you lately though, hun :(

How about I make us a nice Dubstep, Brostep and Drum n Bass playlist, use my UV lamp and LEDs with that bath strobe light and we'll have our own private rave? X

I can get naked
Not fun at all, but more fun than a rave :D

And as tempting as that sounds, i don't really listen to music any more. Only time i'll listen to it is while driving, or doing physical work. For me music is a background thing, not the reason behind my actions. Generally put though, i just don't like "dancing", don't find it enjoyable, regardless of format.

The good old days. I went out with THE rave photographer so we knew a lot of the jungle gods!! Id love a back to '92+ :)
I think this 93 and towards the end of,I thought the best, dark! With a little jungle, heavy bass and slamming beats! Later in 94 it turned,or at least "the sound clash" was all gun shots! Rewinds and murderer!! Still, I love heavy bass! Yes,good old days. *sigh*

So I've talked about the music a little in the music forum, but for me it was all about the house music. All types of house, from jazzy to hard, and everything in between. I really dig techno too, like Jeff Mills, Frankie Bones, and lots of other guys, but house music is where its at for me. John Acquiviva anyone

I was a junglette !! Those days were heavy. '94+. Too many good times and memories. World Dance, Moondance, Roast, Elevation, Orange etc. It was WICKED!! RIP Stevie Hyper D. Xx
Ah! Orange at the Rocket,Holloway road, fucking awesome! I recall going there, it was my first proper rave, October 1991!!! I was 13, I recall you paid your money at the kiosk then got searched, the bouncer said "you ain't 18!!" Uh oh!! Still let me in though. I went off that scene after I went Lea Valley Roller Express, Jungle sound clash! Fucking turd! Late summer 1994. Moved onto house/ garage at the Middlesex and Hearts club, Beluga's and Stringfellows too, good times. Hello Lahada. :)
Well hello Kenny ken! AKA now as my boyfriend!!! Thank God for the raving thread!

This was our first post! Thanks Neo for making this 'finding a needle in a hay stack' possible.

I've been to raves back in the 90's early 2000's. wasn't really my thing but there was always action going on so I'd go just for the action, lol.

awesome lahada. the first official RIU couple. gotta love it :D
not sure if we are the first. Kuroi and tip top got together but they live in different ends of the country. KK and I have lived together for nearly 2 mths now. I just consider myself very lucky. I think when you get to your mid thirties you feel like your options are narrowed. The good ones are taken, people more set in their ways etc. :)

Different ends of the conjtry indeed, but in the UK, well that's not really that far. I'm about 2 hours from her, and being that we are the younger variety, a degree of seperation would be almost inevitable. She is stuck in London until she graduates, and due to my path, I'm stuck on the west coast until July next year at the earliest. Distance aside, its all good for us, looking forward to living with her though :-) 1 year together come may.
