How old was the oldest seed you've successfully popped and grown?

I came across a bottle of seeds in a box from forever ago. This box I'm pretty sure was sealed when we moved from Kentucky 7 years ago. I don't have room right now but I think i'll give them a shot when I harvest my next photo girl

I grew 2 of 4. 2 being male. From my tackle box rolling container from the early 90's. Last outdoor. I believe it is the maturity and drying process. Box was too hot, cold, and always closed and dry. I also spray with 6% H2O2 all my seeds due to superstitions. But my opinion. Hope it helps your journey.

Peace.

Last 8yr old seeds I popped I got 80%. Soaked em in fulpower first
Full strength soak or diluted for those? I've been sitting on a few myself that I'm considering what techniques can help assure best success rate. They've sat in their original little zip baggies in a small hardshell case kept inside (70's year round temp, normal indoor humidity not too high or low).

No clue on the genetics. I was hoping people have had success. Got probably 30ish viable looking seed(easily 60 that were crushed), I hope they're worth the time. I've got fresh seeds but I'm wondering what I've found.

I wish I had some old seeds, especially the ones from my youth. I remember some of the best bag seeds I've ever grown came out of different buds I picked up from a compassion center when I was in college. They had some of the best stuff. It was the first time I ever paid $13 a gram, these flowers were basically on the top of the top shelf. After I smoked it, I found out the meaning of "no ceiling" :bigjoint:
I'll never forget the time I sat down at the counter, and the guy next to me was ordering. The budtender pulled out the bag and the second he cracked the bag open, the smell filled the whole room with a blanket of the dankiest licorice/anise smell I've ever smelled in my entire life. I almost broke my neck my head turned so fast. I immediately told the guy in front of me to give me a half o of it once his buddy was done. It tasted even better than the smell, and the high was so trippy/psychedelic. Like church glass windows/kaleidoscope vision, with my eyes open!! Wish I had me some seeds from that stuff!

That licorice/anise smell sounds like Durban Poison.

I also have some old seeds, probably 15 years+, that I'm looking to pop. I tried a few last year with no luck. They were stored in a very dry climate but the summers here are brutal. I've since started storing them in the fridge as I read seeds pop better after a chill, like in nature. I also have some gibberellic acid to try so we'll see.

I popped some that where tossed in cellophane and sat in a shed for 12 years. Treated em like nature would treat any other seed. Soil and water. They all popped. Oddly enough all where males.

It is probably a good thing, I'm not sure id have the room with the clones I cut from RHC. She has taken over her corner of the tent I was going to scrog her but Mimosa is taking forever to finish and I don't want to build a third one.

These are the oldest seeds I got... on the hopefully pop soon list. I've had success popping seeds from supposedly the 90's with technique outlined in this thread here:

I didn't use DMSO or GA3 though just the superthrive, molasses, and peroxide.
