What's up RIU Colorado!

I'm back and just teasing my new gear like I promised. I just picked up 2 fresh tester packs of Rare Dankness beans that they were nice enough to give to me. Thanks again, guys!!

I got some Albert Walker Kush and Casey Jones x Nevil's wreck.

Stoked to get these AWK in some rooters as soon as my current ladies show me a bit of amber. Should be this week. I'll be keeping an LA Woman and a Querkle (best pheno of each of course), picked up a Jilly Bean to try out and plan on letting the godbud go to make room for new genetics.

And we are off! Here is the first update:

17 days from sprout in 2 gallon pots of Roots Organic Original. No other ferts used or needed yet.

I'm impressed with the vigor and growth so far. The stems are nice and thick and fans are big indica specimens.

Veg tent (20" x 36") is a Lumatek 250 with a Horti Super Blue MH. 4" inline a and a euro hood. I really need a bigger veg space but that's a story for another day.

Flower (5' x' 6') is a 1000 Horti HPS (magnetic) in a home modified cooltube w/ wings. Cooled by a 8" HO Can Fan/Filter. Rigged out for co2 up to wk 7.

Am i seeing this correctly? You only popped 2 seeds?
Yep. I have limited plant numbers to deal with and these are running along side my normal lines. I culled some stuff out to make room as is. I'll pop 2 more in a couple weeks once I have these sexed unless they are both female (fingers crossed)

If other states follow Colorado's lead on legalization, small plant counts will be the norm. We only get 6 total, 3 flowering. This is going to (hopefully) drive the seeds breeders to focus on stability and uniformity in their lines. It will also make the market for fem seeds even bigger. IMHO

There are all kinds of local bans and resections set by cities and counties that are specifically targeted to MMJ. I am currently under Arapahoe County restrictions of 12 max plants per household (2 patients here). They are going to have to redo all of those things with more scrutiny now because of the wording they all chose. HA!

The way I read the new law you can have 6 recreational plants per adult over 21 with the new amendment.

I got them from the breeder via a mutual friend. Not on the market ... yet.

Next update soon. Not a lot happening. Waiting for sex to show.

Well crud. I'm pretty sure I've got 2 boys to start my run. Male preflowers are starting to form. I took a cut of each one and dropped em in 12/12 for a few days to be sure. It's a shame because the #1 has a ridiculous stem for a 4 wk old plant. O well. I'll verify and pop a couple more. :)
