Top Fuel driver Larry Dixon walked away uninjured from this spectacular crash when his Top Fuel dragster went out of control and crashed near the finish line during Saturday's first qualifying session at the Amalie Motor Oil NHRA Gatornationals. Dixon was checked and released by NHRA emergency service officials at the track.

One of the Blue Jay babies made it to the pomegranate bush, two more are just hanging out in the vines. Dog was on the patio and didn't notice the bird on the ground luckily. I was trimming on one of the rose bushes and he jumped up on the terrace board. Got the dog in the house ASAP.

The last two Jay babies took the leap last night together and landed in the yard right in front of me. One hid in the rosemary and the other flew into the pomegranate bush after the short initial flight. Roxy will be happy that she can finally go back on patrol in the yard and sleep in the sun again. Their parents should back off on the hummingbirds now so they can go to their feeders.
