It's an old WWII military dump, lots of beach glass & trucks literally melted into the beach.
Tons of cool artifacts there.

Last time I was at Lake Mead in Nevada, I saw one of these fuckers...scared the crap outta me..... Luckily, Tarantula Hawk Wasps don't usually fuck with humans, but they have one of the most painful stings in the animal kingdom. Several REPUTABLE sources say the best thing to do when you are stung, is to LIE DOWN AND START SCREAMING... This is cause the sting is so painful, people often hurt themselves accidentally because they trip or run into objects due to an inability to control your functions.Great.
That's just fucking great...
Surprisingly, the worst of the pain subsides within 5 minutes and the sting doesn't leave much actual physical damage to flesh.
Still. it was fucking terrifying to have this thing buzzing around a few feet from my head.....
