Random Grow??

so i was having a walk in my back yard, and low and behold, out of the corner of my eye, i see a bud plant just growing out of the mud. its pretty young right now, im assuming its been there for a good 5 weeks now, should i move it from the soil to a pot? or just leave it?

Been chucking seeds into your backyard have we? If its in the mud it prolly wont live there long. How tall is it? Look generally healthy?

i'd say its pretty healthy. still has the water leaf on it. its about a good foot and 3 inches right now. smells reallly skunky though. ill upload some pics later on today to show the situation.

haha and yeah, couple old friends and i used to smoke on the side of my house, it was always swag weed they had though. really seedy stuff.

I've always said that if you take some of that shwag brick mexi..and grew the seeds like you would anything else...you would end up with decent smoke. That stuff is not cared for like it should be, obviously. I have friends that bag on Mexi strains. In my head I'm thinking, ever heard of any old school Mexican land races? Such as Michoacan? Or maybe Acapulco Gold?

I imagine it's winter where you are (assuming US), so the plant should be in flower. Do you know how to check for gender? You say it's only 1'3"? Sounds like it hasn't been there that long, especially considering it still has it's cotyledon leaves (seed/water leaves). So it may not be showing gender just yet, but I am sure it will soon.

Are you in a state that allows medi (once again assuming US)? If so, are you a valid patient? If not, you are going to want to go guerrilla style here if you want to help the plant along.

so of course its legal. im *ahem* growing it guerilla style here. no signs of gender yet, however. but it should be showing it soon within a week or two.

Yeah that plant does look to be pretty young. I'm surprised it dealt with the crazy winds/rain that just went through the SD area. It actually looks pretty healthy. Yeah man, if you can find a secure spot for it, why not uproot it and give it a happier home? If you are in SD, even if you ARE medi...be aware that they dont allow outside grows. At best, an enclosed greenhouse...thats assuming you want to stay as legal as possible of course...knowing our DA is b*tch.

Messed up about the no outside thing, we actually stay warm enough to grow year round outdoors. If you can find a way to battle the wind and rain in the winter of course.

very true. well, uprooting it wont be so hard, ill give it about until its stem gets a little stronger before i attempt to dig it out, considering this is the first plant ive had thats actually lived this long haha. ill see to moving into a pot.

All I am going to say on the matter is the longer its in the ground less love you can give it. Normally I would say leave it, but you haven't done anything to that soil I bet. Make sure to find a way to hide that plant from the every day eye at least, but still give enough light. Can you put it around any other plants that it might blend in with?

Well take it, and put it in a new pot, and enjoy the results...

its around a bunch of weeds right now. the weeds tend to get pretty tall. is there anyway i can stunt the growth of the plant to keep its stock from having anymore growth spurts?

You can train it. Just gently bend the top over and tie it to a short stake in the ground. Look up Low Stress Training (LST) if you dont know what thats all about.

seems like a lot of work hahaha i might need to have someone more experienced come down here to help me XD
