off subject :?:
i seen a couple gun pics so i got a gun question.its about a glock,i herd if you cock a glock the only way to uncock it is to shoot it?im thinking of getting a glock 21 thats the reason for asking.
yes its true. it doesnt have a regular safety that serves as a de-cock lever like some. it must be dry fired. but unless you plan on keeping 1 in the chamber its nothing to shy away from the glock for. its one of my favorite handguns, its also lives up to the hype

i think everyone who has an appreciation for firepower wants an HK tactical. lol nice bro if you get a glock post some pics and tell me how you love it.
I've never handled an H&K, but am in love with my 1911 - a damn fine pistol.
Hell, I've owned it since about 1979 & she's not let me down once. Years ago in a turnpike rest-stop she (and I) stopped a couple ner-do-well's that thought it a good idea to jack my car (w/ my wife & 2 kids inside).
Suffice to say it was not a good idea !

I bought a new carry a couple of weeks ago. I got the S & W MP .40 compact
. I like it a lot...but it is dangerous. There is no safty at all, just a 6.5 lb trigger pull. My springfield 9mm carry at least has a palm safety and trigger safty. Those 1911's are nice with the de-cocking lever. Too big and too few rounds to carry though for me.

1911 has no decocking lever - grip and manual thumb safety only.
As for too few rounds - it all comes down to hitting & as for being big - I regularly carry in a high ride hip holster w/ a lite jacket & you'd only know if I told you.

Right on. I think I've confused standard .45 autos with true 1911's. There are several .45 auto's that do including several service models. Thanks.
