Random Clones off to a Rough Start...Nutes ? Water ? Humidity ?

Ok So I got a mix of clones which were doing fine under a makeshift canopy until the cat got at them.
I washed off the cut ends and reclone gelled and powdered them..
I let them sit for a bit and put a little more light on them for warmth. Bad Idea. Dried one nearly to death.
Cat got into the tent with T5 400w 4' grow light w florescent bulbs.
Killed Kat...No not really but....bad kitty- no katnip.
Sat them back into rockwool squares that I filled around the cuttings with coco. Dude at HTG said it would work.
Im still stringing them along. Temp and humidity are ok. RO = regurlar old tap water right ?
PPM on tap is 220
Testing Ph shortly.
Bottom leaves yellowing and falling off currently. Hoping I can just get them to grow some roots so I know Im going that part right.
If not a friend will have some lil ones for me in a couple weeks. One of my favorites GDP. ;)
Wondering if I need to add some nutes or Ive just got a water/watering issue. Not to mention I could have a better tent over the babies....tomorrow.

Im ok w soil outdoor but this hydro is killing me ! lol

Im a beginner so take it easy on me !! lol
I can use all the help I can get !!!
Thanks so much !
Peace

Hey Scott

How old are the cuttings?

To root them all you need is water and light 24/7. Your T5 400w is probably too much for the clones.
Ph is irrelevant until you start feeding them. RO = Reverse Osmosis.
Use a dome if possible to keep the humidity high.

Good luck!

Yeah, that's way too much light for rooting cuttings. With too much light the cutting has to put all of its energy into moving water, not building roots. I use a small 26w cfl bulb over 20+ cuttings, from many different strains, and all root in 7-11 days.

yeah thats what it looks like the tips are getting browned. lower leaves dying. Thanks for the clarification on RO. Dropped ph from 9+ to 5.8-6. 9 Tap water.... Not sure if I want to know ppm.
I raised the light up a bit and took off the make shift crappy dome I had set up. Beed doing double spraying for a couple days w better water. Should be getting more cuttings or teens in soon to clone up if this fails. They will all be on the same schedule.
I do have roots !!! Not a lot and only on two of three but the third is trying to stand on its own..sort of. lol
I took some pics.
I have no idea what these are and like all clones I assume I should expect that they are infected with something...or thats what I read somewhere.

Going to make a dome tonight I think. so I dont have to worry. I do think they dried out a bit due to so much light.
Lesson learned. They were under a low energy use florescent 100W replacement I think it is...
Any tips and tricks to cloning would be great. I think Im going to need them. Im supposed to get the teenager which is Cheese..... ;) The others will be GDP. Im gonna need a bigger place !!
Cuttings are about a week old maybe a little more...
Also gave the tray a good solid drink of new water...to make the roots chase the water.

Made humidity dome. Leaves are turning green at the ends.
Temp is in low 70s and RH is 82 ph of tap water 6.0
Raised the lights and still may need to go back to the original florescent light bulb...
