Nah, it's just that I like fucking around with plants - the plants are going to grow, I just have to make them grow how and where I want them to.

I do like to have a plan, and I quite often change the plan midway through

Instead of letting a plant grow how it wants to and then constantly having to weave or reposition the branches, I try to grow the branches where they need to be.

The L.S.D. ScrOG that I am getting ready for flowering has followed a planned grow from the start.
I started by growing 2 clones with three branches and 2 clones with two branches with the intention of training them in a certain way ...



This way the whole of the screen gets evenly covered with minimal vertical growth.

I wouldn't say I have skill, it's just that I know how hard it is to kill a MJ plant and I know whatever I do, the plant will survive

Thanks jzs147, in a week or two I will be using a Tangerine Dream stock and adding Red Dragon and L.S.D. grafts to make my 3 strain mother.

what do u just use the stem to grow off then take cuttlings of the strain u want to grow from that is that how it works mate sorry i aint read the whole thread just a few pages

Just like any other "mother" plant - just take cuttings for clones when needed, except eventually my "mother" will allow me to choose which one of 5 strains I want to grow clones of.
My system can produce a harvest every 5 or 6 weeks and variety is definitely the way to go.

When fully grafted the mother will be an all Barney's Farm girl carrying L.S.D., Red Dragon, Tangerine Dream, Pineapple Chunk and Acapulco Gold - a nice selection to choose from.

I plan on replacing the mother plant every few months to keep her small and vigorous and I should have femmed seeds of all strains to keep as a backup.

Nah, my last ScrOG was soil and it was a shit grow (beautiful smoke tho).
I'll be pulling my Magic Bud in 2 to 3 weeks and will definitely be checking what was happening in the root ball - will be interesting to see how the root mass for the 4 clones cope with sharing the one hempy pot.

That sucks - looks like they fucked up a little ... and that reminds me, I should have got some screens to go in the stem just below the cone to catch some of the crap that gets sucked down.

I've noticed over the years that my lung capacity/strength isn't enough to kill this bong in one hit, then again it is about 30 years since I had my last shop-bought bong (which I donated to the police).

My sg18 Blue sized cone came and its HUGE like a ping pong ball size. and the little hole aint a little hole if ya now what i mean-- ya need the screens, the little dome pressed one's fit a treat! I also got some brass flat ones
I will wait to see whether the stem is sg14 or sg18, i only just clicked then when it came that i may need a reducer, depending an what comes with the bong itself,
i also got some plain drop in glass cones just so i dont have to piss fart around with the screens if im in a shitty mood after work or something!

I don't know about the buds but the trim is going to be damn nice - trichomes everywhere, both the upper and lower surfaces of the leaves.

Hard to tell if it is smooth as the Red Dragon I'm smoking is as smooth as silk anyway

If I ever fully packed the bowl I would pass out before I finished it, shit it's big.
I've got my trusty home made bong that I prefer for a quick hit.

It's super sticky and starting to smell - my daughter is commenting about the smell - not complaining, just commenting.

It's looking like at least another 2 to 3 weeks, those buds need to bulk up a fair bit and she's still pumping out lots of fresh new pistils so she aint done growing for a while yet.

Dont worry about that question, i already answered it, they both came late this arvo, yeah i know what you mean by a HUGE cone, i currently can only pull a 1/3, and it slams me so good, i gotta sit down.! im in love!

My L.S.D. that was treated with Colloidal Silver gave me the first bit of pollen today, and I took a quick snap of my vegging chamber.

What's happening in there?



From Left to right ...

• The next ScrOG screen leaning against the left wall,
• Two strain "mother" - recently defoliated.
• Two Barney's Farm Tangerine Dream - both topped,
• L.S.D. "Colloidal Silver" male in full maleness,
• Four clones of L.S.D. being readied to be a ScrOG in 2 or 3 weeks.

The Tangerine Dream will be replacing my current L.S.D. ScrOG which has been in 12/12 for only 5 days, so it will be about 10 weeks before the Tangerine Dream needs to be screened up and flowered.
So I've got 10 weeks to take 4 clones, root them, veg and train them ... plenty of time.

The taller of the 2 TD's will definitely be the stock plant for my new "mother", but I'm not sure which of the 2 TD's will be used for the ScrOG. I'll take 4 clones from each and see how they grow before committing to the ScrOG.

The mother will have Red Dragon and L.S.D. grafted onto the stock and I will add a graft of the smaller TD, at least until I decide whether it is better suited to a ScrOG than her sister.
