Rainfall and flushing ?

We are expecting 5+ inches of rain over the next 24 hours. I am not yet close to harvest, but how much nutes will be flushed from the soil? I just gave her eco-bloom last Sunday and was planning on every other week.

I wouldnt worry about nutes if its directly in the ground, rain flow will will deposit more nutrients to your plant by moving sediments and nutrient deposits around, basically rain stirs stuff up in the ground. You should be fine.

True more rain means more nutrient uptake

You can't flush the earth regardless of what Al Gore says

I'd be more worried about the plants laying down or broken branches. When buds start to get bigger the rain can really weigh them down. Be sure they are tied up well to avoid broken branches and having your plants laying on the ground. You can always feed after the rain.

Say your root base travels 10 inches down and there are nutrients 20 inches down that have not yet been absorbed, when it rains and the water soaks down to the 20" mark the nutrients will move towards the top of the soil. I am a botanist but i grow MJ for fun because of the many unique characteristics of the plant. It is the same concept as folding a paper towel and dipping 1 inch into a cup of water and watching it climb.

Im not a botanist but have had them laying in the dirt a few times. Save some aggravation and get some bamboo and tie them up good.

Yes i have had problems with the plants laying over as well, another factor is if your plant is laying down because your buds are soaking up excessive water you now have the mold factor to worry about..

I just go out and give them a good shake after the rain to get excess water off the buds. But yes mold and bud rot are definitely a concern this time of year.
