Rain & cold/humid weather.. Best prevention for mold?

What is the best routine to prevent mold?

I have been told greencure fungicide which I have on hand ready to use, but since there is a 80-90% chance of it raining now all the way til friday around 12 noon I am not sure the best time to spray? Pretty humid cus of all the rain to and around 60 degrees, suppose to be 50 tomorrow. Been raining all day today to :(

I just went out there and used the leaf blower on them + shaked any excess off since we had a break in the rain.

Usually our humidity is around 15-30%. I really need these to go at least another week :/

Thanks,
Ex

Spray with diluted h2o2 or green cure as the rain is moving out.
That brotha! Should I even bother trying to shake off excess rain during the 30 min rain breaks we get tonight, or not even worth it and just wait til the rain is coming to an end?

I don't think shaking them will do any good if they are already soaked. But just a guess.

I think I read somewhere like a 1/4 cup per 32 oz if I remember right. Of 3% h202. I could be wrong though, don't quote me on that.

I can get like 80-90% of the moisture off by shaking, but on the larger plants it's hard to make sure I got every single bud. And since its raining pretty constantly, I don't know that it is worth it considering they will just end up getting soaked again like 30 min later.

Shake them anyway. It reduces the amount of water needing to be evaporated. Every little bit helps. Are your plants well supported? I've spent a rainy night or six tying branched up off the ground during early downpours. Not that much fun, but it saved my buds. I try to support my girls before they need it.

I started harvesting, yesterday. Six nice girls. I'll start trimming this weekend.

Thank you. Anytime we get a break in rain I will go shake them off. They are tied up pretty well, I do have a couple branches resting on the ground though. That is how they naturally grew.. Should I go stake those up to get them off the ground as well when we get a break in rain?

looks like a great article, I briefly read through it, will read through the rest of it tomorrow. Bout to go pass out lol.

I am limited on green cure and trying not to leave til after harvest if possible. I have some activeonate & hydrogen peroxide.. Out of the 3 what would be best to use as a preventive after the rain quits? Since green cure kills on contact I didn't know if I should try to save it in case I got mold or not.

Also, if you do get mold, what is the best way to dry/cure? Or is curing out of the question then?

Green Cure and H2O2 both kill mold spores on contact. The H2O2 will flash off more quickly than the Green Cure. I would use the Actinovate as the preventative if you are low on GC.

If you get botrytis, I would not try to cure anything that has been in contact with it. I would just pitch it. I've seen some other people describe how to extract from this bud but that isn't something that interests me so I don't know much about it. If you have powdery mildew at harvest and you aren't overly sensitive to it, you can do a 2-3 minute bath in diluted H2O2 followed by a hard rinse to get it off your buds. There is a Jorge Cervantez youtube video showing the process.

Thanks Bugeye! I have plenty of Activonate so I will go spray them here in an hr when the rain finally comes to an end.
