That's the big one. Our current laws wont support cancer patients. Two and a half ounces reduced to oil is only a few days treatment. That kind of forces a caregiver to grow more than the allotted amount in order to truly help, otherwise its just enough to comfort them until death. The catch 22 is you can use pot to treat cancer but not enough to cure it. The current laws are a death sentence for some people and need to be changed.
Don't forget all oil is considered outside of MMMA protections by our current batch of prosecutors
And that is if you are lucky ? Some of these places are charging almost 500 an oz. whoa that is crazy 60 or 65 a 1/8 yeah right !!!
That's a very good point. I caregive for a stage 4 bone cancer patient. I've had to change things up in my garden to meet her needs. I used to harvest once every 3-4 weeks, but I now stagger a set of plants to come down every week so that I have enough ready for her at all times. It's not easy to jump through the hoops, but I'm making it work. She's on a fixed income of $800 (SSD) a month. I wouldn't dream of charging her a penny. I recoup my expenses from my other patients, one in particular who makes great money and doesn't mind chipping in. What do I get out of it? Free weed to smoke, and the satisfaction of knowing that I'm helping people out. This law was never set up for caregivers to make a living. Hopefully that changes some day....
When someone comes to me with a serious and genuine medical condition, they get meds from me, cost no obstacle.
That's how I handle it too. Every person/situation is different, and I'm definitely not afraid to discriminate based upon needs and income.
I feel lucky indeed to be in the position I am, able to help so many less fortunate.
have any of you seen that they are passing a law this month to be able to mouth swab when pulled over ? Says something like they can tell if you have medicated in the last 3 hours then you get aDUI ??? WTF everyone that medicated will now be making a felony if they drive at all really . And it's gonna pass hands down !! That is crap. They don't want us to medicate. They want us to follow the rules, eat a bunch of pills ,and get cancer and die early because the world is overpopulated. When I told my doctor that I didn't need pain pills anymore because I smoke medical marijuana he was pissed , you could see it in his eyes and his tone ?That is the truth and it's sad .
I'd rather have a sick patient medicating for free than most patients.
Hey Stow! Been a while. Why do you question the legality? This seems to address concentrates pretty clearly, what's your opinion? Is this contradicted somewhere else?
Hey rzza, it has been a while. I thought there was a ruling a while back on concentrates. Nothing explicitly stated in the bill, but I thought that had set presidence.
Yeah gone in no time im sure, not only that but they where suppose to meet the grant deadline in january but somehow they can just miss that by 4 months and still get it.
