Radium 20K HPS - Shockingly NO info on this product

Does anyone use a radium 20K HPS bulb for veg? I can't find any sort of info on it for growing like lumens, bulb life, wattage, etc. I was wanting to know the comparison in a 400 W MH and this radium. I know people say 6500 k is the ideal color temp, but thats just not true. Just because most MH's are typically around that color temp doesn't mean its ideal. My blue led works better than any 6500 K bulb. So I would assume the radium would be much better for compact growth. Anyone have any solid info rather than just guesses?

yeah i got tons of research that says your theory is wrong but those types of bulbs are good for supplemental lightin flowering. the main reason being is it is a lot of deep blue/purple and not enough 460nm blue and red(yes MH has some red to it)

well whatever the wattage is is how many lumens it should be so if a standard MH is 35000 lumens id imagine that the radium is not that far off.

if you where to grow with the readium i imagine you would get very little stem elongation and node after node with single leaves.

thank you for the reply. yea its not a theory its a fact that i can see with my own eyes. a plant can be grown entirely thru veg with the blue led if i were so inclined. done it before and the single leaf thing was nonexistent. it is much bushier when its just the blue light. which is why i was thinking the radium might be best just cuz its the same spectrum with more lumens. only problem with leds is they're just not strong enough. way too expensive to cover the are you need. but anyways...im not confused about whether blue light works...cuz i know it does. Just wondering about the radium specifically. Rather than an assumption...which i can make plenty of, i was wonderin if anyone had any solid info? All speculation and educated guesses aside

i agree with polyacturus. 6500k is the ideal colour temp for veg as it contains the right colour spectrums for the plant to grow during the veg stage. there is plenty of research available online that supports this. that being said we cant discount what you have said about the growth under your blue LED. at the end of the day its all about what works for you. there are a million different opinions about what you should do to grow the best weed but who cares as long as you get a dank smoke for your labour...
