radar, no im not parnoid just intresting

i have a radar detector in my car. when I visit a friends house, where we plan to move the op. My radar on highway mode picks up something that pulls a number 2 on the screen "signal strength, 1-5 5 being strong. I then switch it to city mode and it picks up a laser and 3 other radar fq. and they all pull 4s. BUT as soon as i get close to the main road it stops immeditly. Its crazy, every time I go there.

Any one have an idea why? Maybe its just strong signals from some house, for what reason who knows.

This is true. That is why when you drive by automatic sliding doors, radar detectors usually go off.

Yeah, see the thing is. I've pretty much found out what sliding doors at stores and such trigger it, on my way to his house. Just for the fact as I know its not a cop. But the security system, never thought of that. Would it throw 3 diff. fq. and a laser, also? It's got to be something simple.

And of course the first thing I thought when i was high was, if it was anything but a simple explanation, what is it? Kinda creepy.

maybe it's the wire your buddy is wearing.

Car dealerships tend to set off radar detectors frequently for the same reason...just a thought.

well think about it like this. The radar is used to track your speed. They aint gonna try to bust you based on how fast you come and go from the driveway. I wouldnt sweat it.
