rabbits/deer cheep but effective way to prevent babys from being eaten

okay so i go out to my grow and see one of my 20 plants missing....i then see some little friggan baby bunny run out from a bush and run away. im like god damn there spawning and i dont wanna waste 500 .22 rounds to stop it. soooo what to do..i have little money on me so i plan and plan then it hits be 5 GAL water jugs. well this is what you do. first off get a water jug the ones they use for water coolers. then cut the top part off so its as wide as the bottom. then poke some holes in the bottom for air flow. fit over plant. place big rock on top of jug and bam no more rabbits or deer and less bugs too. when the plant grows out of it, it will be big enough to deal with most of the issues.

thats even too much work. dear net or bird net?

to much work??? its like 3 bucks a deer net would cost 20 min.

I have have had losses with rabbits , deer, gopher an mice.
But i think i got it figured out with my camo cages, an deer/ rabbit repellant.

P.S. The jug would get very very hot in the sun (its great for a green house in early spring to start em early), an rodents would just tunnel under it.

It IS a great idea, but as Scarhole mentioned, without plenty of ventilation, heat could be an issue.

Try cutting/drilling about eight one inch holes around the bottom, and more holes an inch or so above soil level.

This will allow hot air to escape efficiently, while protecting your girls.

Instead of a rock, you might try anchoring the inverted "tubs" with hooks and string. Too large a rock will block light. A deer can kick it over, but I doubt they'd be interested.

The whole thing smells too much of "man".

Same here guys, but Ive had deer kick the shit out of the chicken wire.... so I have dogs! I used to bring em with me and let em piss and mark their territory wherever they want.... it kep alot of pest away....I used to piss around my girls bout 20 ft. away or so as well... the smell keeps most and if not all animals that would eat your girls away, it is very effective just sounds kinda sick when I post it!

So PISS away my freind its the cheapest most effective way i found! LOL

haha! fo sho Cpt. .....I'll opt for a twelve or a case seems how I camp around a couple of my sites during a grow...

Spread some human hair and your urine around the grow, believe it or not this will keep them away. Also make a loop with some copper wire around the base of your plants to keep the slugs away,hope this helps ...Good luck bro on a successful crop,im sending positive grow vibes your way...
