Anybody grow in their basement and have a R/O water system hooked up to the basement sink?
Yep just used a sharkbite t off the main cold supply line with a shutoff. Easy peasy. Shutoff your main. Drain it. Cut the line deburr add the t and hook up the pex line to the unit

It just runs slower. No big deal.
R/O runs much slower, what I’m talking about is the actual water temps. Sometimes in a basement it can tend to be colder and you may find yourself using water colder than ideal for roots. Or even find your pots/roots too cold and affect uptake etc. Just a little off topic but still important. R/O or not.

Oh ya,. I always fill a res and have a heater inside for filtered water. Too damn cold.

I have an r/o system hooked up to my basement sink it’s what I use for my water. It stays a good room temp a little cool but not cold. What’s the question just if we have one or how we use it or what kind it is.

I've had a 'express water' ro system for 7 or so years. they have great customer service sent me a box of parts free when my old shut valve wasn't compatible, last ppm check was 11ppm
