Quiet Fans SHHH! :)

I am planning to buy a centrifugal fan in the 750CFM range. I saw one that sid it was 54dB, which is not loud, but not quiet either. I am in need of ultra stealth in my location. Can any one suggest a specifc fan of this type that is ultra quiet? Thanx

Whats the best quiet fans... I found a 50+ cfm computer fan rated at 16db but im worried it wont be able to handle the carbon scrubber...

Any other ideas...

For best silence, buy a duct fan and then put the fan in a box (the box it came in is fine) filled with foam, or lava balls, or something similar to dampen vibrations.

Its kina expensive for a pc fan but im liking this one...

Wish I could help you - but i'll be watching this thread. Mine whines like an air-raid siren.

I did read (have not tried so this is not from experience) - that you can try suspending fans with rubber bungie cords and using rubber coated "i"-hooks with insulated duct work in an attempt to reduce noise.

try searching a Carrier Totaline ultra-quiet exhaust,,for commercial use,,I couldn't find the dB's,,but my 6 inch is really quiet,,and is rated 4oo cfm's,,good price too,,if you know a heating and a/c dude who can pick it up for ya,,thats what I did,,a buddy of mine,,but you may be able to order online,,good luck
