Quiet exhaust fans?

Just finished my popcorn

I myself am probably gonna go with an 8" Hyperfan for my 5x5, probably have it running on low but I live in a hot, humid climate and like the idea of being able to crank it up if need be. Plus they've got cool videos on YouTube
I couldn’t decide between the vortex or ac infinity myself. In the end run I ended up buying the AC infinity T6 and it’s working great for my 4x2x6. Super quiet.

That’s what I was going to buy but someone said it’s a booster fan. Would it still work fine for a 4x2 and as far as air circulation.
I was also looking at the cloudline but I did not see enough reviews out side of scamazon. I dont trust the reviews there. I did happen to see an 8" on Ebay if i remember correctly it was 299.99. They look like very nice fans though and i like that they include a digi thermostat with their fans. I could be wrong but my understanding with digi ganj controls that once it reaches the setting you set for temps the fan shuts off. It does not run consistently and then slow down once you reach your desired temp. I have a digi thermostat for my vortex and that's what it does for my fan. I will say that the fan turning on and off multiple times a day will end up wearing the motor out faster than using an analog controller. Not such a huge deal but if you're spending cake like that you want it to last along time imo. I think either way brother you will be happy with either one. My self personally like the digital thermostat but am reluctant to use it as I was the fan to last a long time. I'm honestly not sure if the vortex is a legit inline or a booster because I've seen them labeled as both. Www.gardendistribution.com is where I bought my tent and fan. They have some really good prices on everything they carry. I was hesitant at first to use them as the prices seemed too good to be true. I ended up purchasing my tent first even though I was skeptical of the site. Thing was at my place in 1 week with free shipping. I had a problem with the order and I called and spoke to the owner of the site. She was really nice and professional. I decided to order my fan through her a few days later and again not 1 problem. They dont have everything but what the do have is top of the line and awesome prices. The sline go for 230.00 to 330.00 I paid 120.00 for it. The gorilla 2×4 is 350.00 or something like that and I paid 215.00 for it. And no I dont get anything out of mentioning their site. Just the satisfaction of helping another grower out. I'm not sure about hurricane fans brother I have really no knowledge of them. I just dont like the design and feel there are better options for the price range. Obviously do what you want and what you think works for you man. I'm in no way trying to sway you in any direction! As I said, I think they are all nice fans and will work. The only thing i would suggest is to shop around and do some research on what you buy as you could save yourself time, money & headaches. Either way let me know what you buy. I want to see what you're working with for a setup when you're done getting what you need. Also, if you run a journal let me know ide like to watch your grow!

Haha already read it all lol! And yeah it does just turn on/off no matter what mode as far as I can tell. I just leave it running on from when I wake up until I go to sleep, before I go to bed I turn it on 40-50% which it doesn’t even sound like it’s on at that low. Then turn it back up before work. Overall I like it a lot as my first fan. And yeah a lot of people said this T6 is a booster as well and not an actual fan but it’s working just fine as far as I can tell...

Haha my fault. Thanks for letting me know though. It looks like a really nice fan glad you're happy with your purchase. Eventually I'm going perpetual and was thinking about possible using the cloudline in that space once I get it going. I'm going to follow you if that's cool? I'm interested in seeing how everything works out for you.. thanks again for writing!

Yeah of course. I just posted “first tent completed” or something like that a few posts below in this section. I’ll be posting in there when I do.

I sit in the same room as my tent. Maybe 5' from the fan/exhaust, some days as much as 14+ hours. I couldn't imagine life without my muffler. Your mileage my vary, etc. etc., but look at some youtube videos where they test the decibels of fans with and fans without mufflers attached. It's night and day. Just my .02 cents.

When you plug a Exaust fan in and hear it ,You will most likely think WTF,it's too loud. But don't go on that ,it will become 70% more Quiet, once you connect to the Filter ,use a belt strap, the ones with Foam on the inside So once it's tight. No chance of air leaks of smell. Then make sure the duct is fitted via the same method tight no leaks ,then to a air vent that will push the air out the room.I use vortex, and I have had them years ,they are great fans.I use a 12 inch out let, 6 inch inlet ,both run 24/7 .You can get a speed dial, if you think it may be too much for your room, but I use two 600 hps cool hoods and a hps bulb, has a swinger that I drop around the room in winter, when temps are lower. But normally just two plants under 2 lights ,just grown big.I think you have seen my grows,so you will know the set up.A good tip is get a converter from the fan that takes larger ,duct this will make it less noisy.I use a converter, from mine that makes it take 8 inch duct just because it took less room up .If your using say 2 LEDs with built in fans then I would go with something like a 4/6 inch out let ,same size in .Not much heat from them so no need for big fans .Inlet have it pulling air from a void or window, then duct running down center of grow room, with holes punched in the side for even spread of fresh air.if you have the room .But ally's have inlet at ground level, out let has high in the room has possible, for them to work most effective.

Good Luck
Tyke
